What is Platelet-Rich Fibrin?
You may have heard of platelet-rich plasma (PRP). While this treatment revolutionized the use of plasma therapy, it does not utilize all the available platelets or growth factors. Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) uses a different method of separating and extracting platelets. As a result, PRF is richer in platelets than PRP. These platelets release growth factors that promote skin rejuvenation and stimulate collagen-producing cells. We offer ezPRF to provide a new type of plasma therapy experience.

How is ezPRF Ultimate Blood Concentrate Different From PRP?
During extraction of typical PRP, a sample of your blood is spun in a high-speed centrifuge to separate the plasma from the blood cells. This high-speed treatment can result in the loss of many platelets, however. Producing platelet-rich fibrin uses a lower centrifuge speed, leaving more platelets and other cells to use for treatment. Platelet-rich fibrin also differs from PRP in that no anticoagulants are used. When producing PRP, an anticoagulant prevents the blood from clotting. When making PRF with no anticoagulants, the blood forms a clot that consists of fibrin, platelets, and other components.

Am I a Good Candidate for Platelet-Rich Fibrin?
Most people make good candidates for platelet-rich fibrin because it uses your own blood instead of synthetic treatments or fillers. Plasma therapy has widespread popularity in regenerative medicine, healing joint and muscle injuries, and stimulating hair regrowth. Its use in facial treatments expands every year. You may not be a good candidate if you have any clotting or bleeding disorders or if you are pregnant. We cannot treat if: pregnant, nursing, diagnosis of any hematological disorder, recent (within 2 weeks) or active infection, or during an autoimmune condition flare up. **Please get clearance from your physician if you have a history of autoimmune, neurological or psychological disorders. Do NOT stop taking any prescribed anticoagulants for this procedure unless cleared by your prescribing practitioner**

Treatment Expectations:

• We inject ezPRF, the Ultimate Blood Concentrate, into areas where you want to see smoother, more youthful-looking skin. Stimulating collagen and improving blood supply leave your skin looking softer and healthier. You will see increased fullness, smoothing of lines and wrinkles, and improvements in skin concerns, including dullness, and loss of firmness.
• DON’T worry, the swelling will come down.
• The treated area may look asymmetrical or uneven (especially in the tear troughs or lips) for up to 10 days following the procedure, this is normal!
• The treated area may feel firm when touched, this is normal.
• You will most likely be bruised and/or swollen following this procedure.
• Usually, best results are seen with a series of 3-4 treatments, depending on each patient’s skin quality and goals.
• PRF does not require “touch up” treatments as it is your own body’s natural collagen process that is working over the course of several weeks to months after treatment. If you would like the areas assessed or desire additional treatments this would be best discussed with your provider in person. We recommend in general that you wait at least 4 weeks after each PRF treatment for assessment and any additional treatments.

Pre-Treatment Instructions:

• Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Drink at least 64 oz of water and eat a good snack before coming to prepare for the blood draw.
• Take 2000 mg of Vitamin C daily before your treatment. The earlier you start, the better!
• Avoid Omega 3s, Turmeric, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, Garlic or any anti-inflammatory supplements for 7 days prior.
• To lessen your chance of irritation & redness please stop the use of Retinol & exfoliating acids 3 days before your treatment & for 3 days after.

Post-Treatment Instructions:

• Do not massage the treatment area.
• Keep your head above your heart for 4 hours.
• Do not exercise for 24-48 hours.
• Continue to avoid Aspirin for 2 weeks post-procedure (do NOT stop taking any prescribed anticoagulants for this procedure unless cleared by your prescribing practitioner).
• If you are having pain or soreness, it is okay to take Tylenol (Acetaminophen) as directed by your provider.
• Do not apply ice to the treatment area for 72 hours.
• Avoid hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms for 3 days.

When to contact us:

• Difficulty breathing or swallowing (Go to the ER immediately)
• Intense pain in the treated area
• Excessive swelling that is increasing with time
• Skin color and/or temperature changes other than bruising (where skin is white, mottled, or hot/cold)

What is HALO™?

What is the BBL laser?
BBL stands for Broadband Light and is a controlled frequency of high intensity light that sends heat to the skin. It has been studied for its ability to improve skin appearance and encourage the growth of new cells for a more youthful overall look and feel.

BBL therapy involves the use of BBL laser technology to treat the appearance of redness, discoloration, and other cosmetic issues like uneven or rough skin texture, fine wrinkles, age and sun spots, and small blood vessels. While BBL therapy is not a magic blanket cure for all skin conditions, it can help some patients reduce the appearance of fine lines, redness, acne, and more.

How does BBL therapy really work?
BBL therapy involves the application of visible and infrared frequencies of high intensity light, directed to the upper layers of skin to treat affected areas. The BBL device sends controlled amounts of heat to damaged skin, specifically the face, chest, and hands — areas that receive the most sun exposure. The laser is designed to damage the skin cells in order to trigger an immune response. In an effort to repair itself, the skin will create more collagen and work to heal itself.

The stimulated cells go into overdrive as they react to the controlled trauma. The damage signals the body to remove the damaged cells and build new ones. If done correctly, the laser will not cause further wounding or lasting scarring of the skin.
BBL therapy is used to cover up evidence of trauma to the skin, but it doesn’t resolve the issues causing skin damage. It can be an effective aesthetic treatment once the problem with the skin has been treated. For example, BBL therapy has been used to combat acne scars and help reduce the appearance of non-cancerous sun damage.

Do BBL treatments have side effects?
Like any treatment, it’s best to consult with your healthcare provider to make sure you’re a good fit for BBL, and to assess what, and how many treatments you may need. While BBL is a comfortable and quick procedure, like any treatment, it affects different people differently.

Common side effects of a BBL skin treatment are a slight reddening, like a sunburn, immediately following treatment. Depending on your treatment, you may have swelling for a few days. It is vital that exposure to sunlight is avoided following any light-based treatment, such as the BBL laser. After a BBL treatment, your skin is much more sensitive and is more prone to burning and blistering.

BBL is Designed for Specific Uses

BBL therapy has been FDA approved for use in dermatological applications. It’s commonly used cosmetically for applications like removing or diminishing the appearance of sunspots, wrinkles and blood vessels, and reducing the evidence of scars from acne or other trauma to the skin. FDA approved applications for BBL therapy include:

1. Forever Young BBL
   Forever Young BBL is a specific treatment developed by Sciton, which uses BBL laser therapy to target the signs of aging and sun damage. Forever Young BBL stimulates skin cells to regenerate collagen and elastin, which can help reduce sun damage, age spots, and more.
2. Forever Clear BBL
   Also manufactured by Sciton, Forever Clear BBL uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to help eliminate acne-causing bacteria, and to reduce the inflammation and redness associated with acne and acne scars.
3. Forever Bare BBL
   If you’ve long been interested in the idea of laser hair removal, Forever Bare BBL by Sciton is an option. Like other BBL applications, controlled flashes of IPL penetrate the skin, damaging the hair and minimizing the potential for regrowth. Forever Bare BBL can be used for smaller areas such as the face or underarms, and for larger areas like arms, legs and back.

The BBL device is an intense pulsed light device that can target hair follicles and reduce and eliminate the amount of hair in the treated area. This laser treatment ensures permanent results, and is a more effective method than electrolysis and is much more comfortable to perform. The treatment works by targeting the pigmentation in the hair follicle and damaging it. This causes the hair in the hair follicle to be lost, and inhibits the growth of any hair in the future.

Microneedling skin rejuvenation or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is a minimally invasive way to kick-start your body’s natural healing ability, resulting in healthier, younger looking skin.

Microneedling can assist with the following concerns:

Microneedling will leave the skin red and slightly swollen, with a sunburn-like appearance. This redness is most prominent on the day of treatment and day after treatment. Makeup can be worn 24 hours after the treatment to mask the redness. Skin will be rough, like sandpaper, the first week following treatment and may begin to flake off dry pieces of skin, this is normal.

  Eyelash tinting consists of adding a special dye that is formulated for lashes, giving you weeks of darker, fuller looking lashes without the assistance of mascara. This treatment is a quick and painless process that can be done over your lunch break.

  A lash lift and tint treatment involves two separate processes, both designed to give you beautiful, fluttery eyelashes for weeks. The lash lift is similar to a perm, and it makes your lashes curl upwards, leaving them looking longer, fuller, and your eyes more open. The lash lift will typically last 6-8 weeks depending on each individual's lash growth cycle. Meanwhile, a lash tint is similar to applying mascara, but will last 2-3 weeks, making your eyelashes look darker, thicker, and fuller. It’s particularly striking on those with naturally blonde or red lashes

  Brow lamination involves the lifting of your brow hairs with a safe perming solution, to provide a fuller, more manicured even look. The benefit of brow lamination is taming the unruly hairs that tend to go different directions despite brushing them and helping with the shape of your brows. For a more desirable shape, brow waxing may be added to this service for $25.Brows that would benefit from Lamination include:

  Brow tinting consists of using a dye that is safe for brows to give them a pop of color for more full, fibrant brows. The tint can last anywhere from 3-6 weeks depending on your brow growth and products used on your skin.

Waxing Services

Waxing is the process of hair removal, using a soft wax with a strip or hard wax to effectively remove the hair from the root. The skin is cleansed and prepped before waxing the desired area and after the waxing process is complete an oil is used to clean any residual wax remaining off skin, and aloe is put on last to soothe and calm the skin from any inflammation or irritation.

Areas that can be treated with waxing include brows, upper lip, chin, full face and underarms.

Perfect Derma Chemical Peel: $275

The Perfect Derma™ Peel is a medical grade medium-depth peel featuring the powerful antioxidant, Glutathione.
